Katherine Nusz was surprised today by the Mrs. Baird’s Teachers on the Rise program. She was nominated by 9th grader Demi Hinson. Mrs. Nusz received a $100 American Express gift card from the Amarillo Box Company, a $100 United Supermarket gift card, and a basket of goodies from Mrs. Baird’s. Demi received a $50 American Express gift card for nominating her teacher. Congratulations to both Mrs. Nusz and Demi Hinson!

On Friday our 8th grade students registered at Amarillo College to take the TSI test so they can begin taking college classes next school year.

8th Grade Parents:
All 8th grade students in Sunray Middle School will be taking the Texas Success Initiative, or TSI, to see if they meet requirements to take dual-credit classes in high school.
This Friday, January 29, representatives from Amarillo College will be here in the middle school library at 1:30 to register our 8th graders for AC so they can take the TSI. Students will need their social security number and birthdate for the registration.
8th graders will be taking MAP training, which prepares them to take TSI, on February 5.
The TSI test will be given on Wednesday, February 24, on the middle school campus.
